What is this science program?

Little Science Studio introduces children ages 3–6 to basic science concepts through hands-on exploration, play-based experiments, stories, and guided discovery. Activities are designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.

Do children need any prior science experience?

No prior experience is needed. The program is beginner-friendly and focuses on exploration, observation, and asking questions rather than memorizing facts.

What age group is the program for?

This program is designed specifically for children ages 3 to 6 years old. Activities are adapted to be developmentally appropriate for preschool and early kindergarten learners.

What types of activities will my child do?

Children may explore activities such as:

  • Simple experiments (mixing colors, floating and sinking)

  • Sensory science (textures, sounds, and movement)

  • Nature exploration

  • Building and problem-solving challenges

  • Cause-and-effect investigations

All activities are age-appropriate and guided by trained instructors.

Is the program safe for young children?

Yes. Safety is our top priority. All materials are child-safe, non-toxic, and carefully selected for young learners. Activities are closely supervised, and children are guided on safe participation at all times.

Will my child get messy?

Possibly! Science can be hands-on and sometimes messy in a fun way. We recommend dressing children in comfortable clothing that can get a little dirty.

How long is each session?

Session lengths vary by program but are typically 30–45 minutes, which is ideal for young children’s attention spans.

How many children are in each class?

Classes are kept small(max 8) to ensure individual attention, safety, and meaningful interaction between children and instructors.

Who leads the program?

The program is led by trained instructors educated and experienced in science-based learning and early childhood education.

Do parents need to stay during the class?

Parent participation policies vary by age group. Parent participation is sometimes required for pop-ups and some sessions may encourage parent involvement, while others allow children to participate independently. Parent participation is not required for after school drop-offs. Specific details will be provided upon enrollment.
